Question 1 of 10
About 2 minutesFrom your answers to a real attorney
The first three steps take about two minutes and happen right here. The fourth is a free conversation with a licensed attorney.

Answer ten questions
About the accident, your injuries, the treatment you have had and what it has cost. About two minutes.
Your state's law is applied
Its fault rule, no-fault threshold, filing deadline and minimum coverage, each of which can change the number.
See your range
A calculated range, never a fixed figure, with every step of the math laid out so you can check it.

How your estimate is calculated
Not a guess, and not the same number for everyone. Every estimate follows these steps in this order. Here they are applied to one real set of answers. Full method and sources
- Medical bills to date$13,000
A typical figure for the range of bills you choose. Every injury claim is built on this number.
- Further treatment$4,000
Care still to come, projected from how serious the injury is and the treatment so far.
- Lost income$5,000
Time off work, valued at median US earnings of about $250 a working day.
- Pain and suffering$17,000
Adjusters value this with a multiplier on the medical bills, usually 1.5× to 5×. Here it is 2.3×: the bills, already counted, plus 1.3× for pain and suffering.
- Texas lawApplied
Texas has a 51% fault bar and 2 years to file. Nobody else is at fault here, so nothing is deducted; a small adjustment reflects typical settlements in the state.
Published as a band around the figure, ±26% when the answers are documented, and never as a single promised amount.

The same case, run through the calculator with one answer changed at a time. Every bar comes straight from the live estimator.
A car accident with moderate injuries, physical therapy, $5,000 to $25,000 in bills and a few weeks off work. Only the treatment changes.

Most asked about
Before you start
Short answers to what people usually want to know first.
Is the calculator free?
Yes. The estimate is free, and so is the case review that follows it. You are under no obligation to hire anyone.
Why might I get no number?
When your state's law would bar the claim on the facts you gave, a number would mislead you. That happens with a missed filing deadline, or with a fault rule that bars recovery. You'll see which rule applies and what the claim would otherwise be worth, because both can change once an attorney looks at the evidence.
Who sees my answers?
Your answers produce the estimate. When you ask for a case review, our intake team calls to go over the details, and your case goes to a participating attorney who practices in your state. We do not sell your information.
Will this affect my insurance claim?
No. Nothing you enter here is sent to any insurance company.
Is this legal advice?
No. It's an educational estimate built on a published method. Only a licensed attorney can advise you about your situation, and the review is free.
